My trans daughter identified and came out at 18. Although her family and friends were supportive, she went through a very dark period of depression for three years. Now 26, she's beyond the worst of it and is finding her voice and her path as a young adult. This experience has provided tremendous growth for all of us and has turned me into a vocal advocate for equality in all its dimensions, but especially in trans rights and safety.

In addition to being a parent of a trans teen/young adult, I am also a certified life and career coach. I am making myself available to help other parents with navigating their own journey. I am not a therapist or medical professional, so I want to build a reference list of professionals I can trust to refer parents to when necessary.
