In this workshop a panel of youth will discuss their own journeys coming to terms with their gender. Particular emphasis will be put on pressures to fit into just one box, experiences of gender fluidity and the impact of multiple forms of oppression related to gender, race, neurodiversity. They will also discuss processes by which they came to decisions about choosing to communicate their gender status publicly or not. The speakers will help challenge the notion that there is one standard trajectory that youth take in understanding and disclosing their gender.
