"Am I trans enough?" This workshop will support mental health professionals in their work with nonbinary and gender nonconforming trans youth who are facing self doubt as the result of binarist oppression. Young trans and nonbinary people are not only navigating the confusing developmental stage of identity formation, but in environments that are often invalidating, pathologizing, and dismissive of their exploration and expression. Here, we will learn more about these insidious forms of oppression and discuss ways to support nonbinary and gender nonconforming trans youth to lean into their felt sense, trust themselves, and stay grounded in their identities and gender journeys.
