Limited Capacity seats available

There is not one way femininity or masculinity looks or sounds. This is an interactive workshop on how gender-affirming voice and communication services may help trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming youth embody voice and communication skills that are affirming, authentic, and help build self-confidence.

Jordan will talk about the complexity of modifying one’s voice based on his client’s desires, rather than perpetuating stereotypes or pushing a cis-centric focus on how someone’s voice should sound. Jordan will teach participants voice exercises related to pitch, resonance, intonation, and breath support. He will also cover topics like the effects of testosterone on the vocal folds and counseling activities he incorporates in sessions with his clients.
